THE BRIEF

  • To integrate unique classic furnishings and fittings within an existing luxury apartment in central Wanaka. A strong emphasis was to be placed on the history and nostalgia of the township and nearby Glendhu station within the design styling.

THE PROCESS

  • By working with the existing flooring, walls and window treatments, our focus was purely on aesthetic touches - adding in quality timeless fixtures, natural linen, wooden furniture and fittings to cohesively mirror the old unique pieces within the apartment and match the rich tones and colour palette.

THE OUTCOME

  • Through an injection of customised furniture and sourced original pieces we continued the nostalgic story, looking to create a time capsule haven, full of character with modern touches, in the heart of Wanaka. Through rich accents, historical pieces - old came to meet new within this high-end luxury accommodation.

‘The Luxe Abode’ | Wanaka | Residential

THE BRIEF

  • To develop a high-end luxurious interior that exuded glamour and sophisticated modern comfort in central Wanaka.

THE PROCESS

  • With the clients living overseas at the time, we worked closely along side the builders from the outset to ensure all fittings and furnishings were customised to work in each space within the new build- this included flooring selection , paint colour, curtain treatments and kitchen fittings . A trip to Auckland was planned to source bespoke furniture for each room (from headboards down to throws, cushions, and sheets).

Our conceptual process involved collating mood boards for each room, as we worked our way through the entire house to achieve a sophisticated and expensive look and feel. Textures played a large part, as copper and steel with elements of schist ( as seen in the fireplace) were incorporated across the furnishings - bringing the local Wanaka environment into a modern template.

THE OUTCOME

  • No room was spared from high-end finishes, appliances and furnishings, as we looked to design a dream home for the client that epitomised luxury. Complete with a wine cellar and theatre, we were not short on limitations and creativity. Details were brought to life via various lush textures, premium European fabrics and bespoke furniture, to create the ultimate escape into glamour.

Warren Street Residence | Wanaka - New Build

THE BRIEF

  • To accessorise and customise an existing interior, by creating an overall sense of homeliness and warmth against the bones of a new build.

THE PROCESS

  • The interior fit out consisted of injecting a few pieces of original furniture, some vibrancy via selected art, and comfort through layers of accessories to encourage that unveiling of an intimate cozy environment - while at the same time turning away from the starkness of a new build.

THE OUTCOME

  • Although, smaller in scale, this project proved to show that just by adding layers of beautiful textures and bringing in life via plants and character furnishings, that a whole new look and feel- one that invites people to really utilise a now inviting space, is easily achievable.

Arrowtown Residence | Queenstown Lakes- New Build

THE BRIEF

  • To provide input and advice on finishes that compliment the client’s existing furniture whilst creating an overall cohesion between a modern and rustic aesthetic.

THE PROCESS

  • Working closing with the architectural plans allowed us to customise and  accurately source in high-end finishes across the property. Drawing on inspiration from the framed wooden ceiling beams, we played with dark, rustic accents, to provide warmth and depth, while we utilised the access and flow of open light. Alongside the existing furniture, we sourced in bespoke pieces such as the copper bath to create that sense of interest and detail within the rich bathroom colour palette.

THE OUTCOME

  • An architectural and sophisticated finish was achieved. The selection of earthy, neutral tones across the flooring, tiling and paint worked effortlessly with the existing furniture and open plan layout. Overall, we were able to enhance the design of the build to embody a fusion of charming elegance and modernity.
