Couta Leather Keyring

$50.00

The couta is a beautiful timber boat shape with a low and wide hull originally used as a fishing vessel along the coasts of Australia during the late 19th century. The named emerged from the barracouta fish species often caught by fisherman from this type of vessel (not to be confused with the barracuda). This keychain features a monkey fist, a seafaring knot that fisherman may have used to weigh down the ends of a fishing net.
